Grenfell Next of Kin, GNoK è la piattaforma che sostiene i parenti delle vittime, morte, a causa della negligenza dello Stato e delle corporation nel devastante incendio che ha colpito il grattacielo di 23 piani nel North Kensington, a Londra, il 14 giugno 2017. L'installazione racconta la reazione della comunità visibile nei gesti di "craftivismo" di cui gli arazzi commemorativi di Grenfell sono testimonianza; i talenti perduti e il potere dell'arte nel racconto della tragedia; il fallimento dei governi europei nella definizione di standard per i materiali e per l'uso del rivestimento che ha causato la rapida propagazione del fuoco e nella proiezione dei cittadini. Grenfell Next of Kin, GNoK is the platform which advocates for the immediate families of those who were killed as a result of State and Corporate negligence in a devasting fire that took hold of the 23 storey tower block in Noth Kensington, London on June 14th 2017. From the Community response, in the humbling acts of craftivism displayed in the magnificient Grenfell Memorial quilts, to the talents lost and the power of art to convey this tragedy, and the continuing failure of European Governments to standardise testing and use of the claddding system that led to the fast spread of the fire and safeguard citizens. "We hope these exhibits will provide a glimpse into our struggle and the courage of those who resist.
